St. George's Hall fair

We had a great time during the fair, selling hand-crafted items from The Ark@L'Arche workshops and also some Bootki stuff. It was wonderful to meet other talented artists and spend two days in such an amazing building in a festive atmosphere!

Here is another pair of my shoes, the lavender ones this time, that have been featured in an Etsy treasury titled:
'Little one', by Nichole from myhandcrafteddesigns shop. Very cute.

It's a bouncing little boy

I love it when my items get featured in Etsy treasuries. Especially when they are right next to such beautiful products like the ones below. So cute!

Summer fair

I found some photos from a summer fair, which took place in July in the Liverpool One shopping centre, near The Hilton Hotel. It was a great experience -- I received very positive feedback and it helped me boost my confidence about my products. I shared the stall with handmade crafts from L'Arche, my day job, a charity for people with disabilities, where we make cards, candles, weaving and felting. It was also a great opportunity to meet other artists and exchange opinions and business cards.

And another opportunity is coming up soon -- L'Arche and Bootki are going to be selling hand-crafted goods at the Winter Arts Market in St George's Hall, Liverpool, on Sat 3rd and Sun 4th December.

Paper booties

I used to have a couple of paper dolls when I was a kid. I loved dressing them up in their cut-out clothes and making new, matching pieces for them. This hobby was followed by sewing pieces of clothing for Barbie dolls. I clearly remember leather boots I made for them and pink furry coats, which they were wearing with pride - they were so unique and no one else had such a collection.
That definitely shaped my future interests and my great love for fabric and design.

The listing below reminds me of the type of dolls I had -- I wish I still had them to see if my style is in any way influenced by them.

One pair of Bootki has been featured in a lovely Etsy Treasury titled "Tendresse," created by atelierartisan. What a cool thing!
